TVSFPE Members and Friends,
The Tennessee Valley Chapter held its monthly meeting on January 10, 2008. Twenty four members, chapter friends, visitors attended. Our speakers, Mr. Larry Stinnett from the Backflow Specialty Company, discussed backflow preventers for fire protection systems. Thank you to Mr. Stinnett for the presentation to the chapter.
During the Treasure’s report it was reported that the checking account has $1,624.00, savings has $403.45, and the scholarship CD has $32,037,67. We would also like to remind everyone Chapter dues are requested by April 15.
During the meeting a request was made to the chapter for recommendation for technical speakers for our meetings. We also displayed the Cross Pens that were purchased for speaker gifts. The pens are also for sale to the members. The single pens are $33 and the pen/pencil sets are $75. I will bring them to the meeting if anyone is interested.
Tom Christman provided an update of the status for STAR’s administrative building and the sprinkler system that TVSFPE members assisted installing in the administrative building.
