The meeting will be from 6pm to 8pm. The speaker is Carl Dolente, a Fire Investigator/Fire Protection Consultant from S-E-A Ltd. He will be presenting on:
"Beyond the Fire Scene: How FPE's Strengthen Post-Incident Investigations".
Description: Carl is excited to discuss the role of FPE’s in post incident investigations. We will be discussing the proper procedures and methodology in fire investigations as they relate to NFPA 921, and how these transferable principles directly correlate to various fire protection system failure investigations. We will bridge the gap between fire investigators and FPE’s, while also covering other types of losses with a variety of case studies that will depict common fire protection principles and applicable codes/standards.
Speaker Introduction: At S-E-A, Carl Dolente (IAAI-CFI(V), CFPS) is responsible for conducting and coordinating investigations and analysis of fires/explosions. These investigations include, but are not limited to, residential, commercial, industrial properties and on/offroad vehicles; many of which include the involvement of batteries or Energy Storage Systems (ESS). His responsibilities also include scene documentation utilizing the latest techniques and technology, conducting detailed interviews, post-fire reconstruction, code review and other fire protection analysis. Furthermore, he conducts hypothesis testing in order to reach valid and reliable final conclusions. Carl has been retained internationally by product manufacturers, utility providers, attorneys, insurance companies, and Fire Protection manufacturers/service providers. When Carl is not traveling for work, he currently volunteers at his local firehouse as an Assistant Chief.
A social hour will be held between 5pm and 6pm.
